About Conch Republic
CONCH REPUBLIC is a "Trop Rock" or beach band (often referred to as a Jimmy Buffett tribute band) made up of seven men and two women who are all professional musicians and have been in the business as performers, song writers, studio musicians, and producers for more than two cumulative centuries. The CONCH REPUBLIC show is high-energy and focuses on crowd participation. Having performed from Myrtle Beach to Memphis, from Key West to South Bend; playing Margaritiaville headquarters in Key West, Florida, opening for the Beach Boys in Tunica, MS; we pride ourselves in being a group about entertainment! We provide all of our own sound equipment, lights, tropical backdrops, lighted palm trees, surf boards, and seven band members playing electric guitar, ukulele/mandolin, keyboards, bass guitar, drums, congas/bongos and steel pan, other hand percussion instruments, and have backup singers and dancers. We also offer a smaller group called "Conch on the Half Shell". This is an acoustic set that only includes five of our members playing acoustic guitar, ukulele/mandolin, steel pan and congas/bongos. It is still a fun and lively show, but it is much more low-key than the entire band and includes only a small amount of decorations. We have played many large venues and events such asMargaritaville-Key West, "Meeting of the Minds" in Key West, the Jimmy Buffett Pre-Party Concert at Cheeseburger In Paradise, Parrotstock, casinos, and even New Year's Eve before the Beach Boys!
